Power Metal + Symphonic Metal + Progressive Metal = ARACHNES!
This band from Italy joined forces with SCARLET after the successful release of the debut album ‘The Goddess Temple’ (Lucretia Records - 1997) and the mini-cd ‘Metamorphosis’ (Underground Symphony - 2000). The presence of the band on the ‘music market’ dates back to 1987, when the band produced the first album ‘Labyrinth’, not with the present name, but as Firehouse. The ‘real’ Arachnes history started with the release of the album ‘The Goddess Temple’, the beginning of the ‘music-style evolution/revolution’ that the band now achieved with the new explosive ‘Parallel Worlds’.
Under an always enlighted inspiration, the Caruso Brothers (Enzo on vocals and Franco on guitars) developed the ‘perfect ARACHNES sound’ that takes life from an incredible wide range of influences: Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Van Halen, Toto, Rainbow, Whitesnake, Yj Malmsteen, ELP, Jethro Tull, Yes, Miles Davis, Bach, Chopin, Stravinskij, Bartok just to name a few. All these different vibes are what we usually call a refined and open-minded background, a logic start into a modern and completely personal ‘heavy metal’ dimension that is exactly what ‘Parallel Worlds’ has meant to be. The new songs are even more well-structured, technical (listen to Franco Caruso guitar-work!!!), atmospheric, powerful and emotional and turn to be an impressive mix between the 3 different shades of ‘heavy-metal Y2K’: power, symphonic and progressive (Stratovarius, Symphony X, Dream Theater) join together!
NEW ALBUM 2002 - APOCALYPSE
Italian power-speed veterans just finished the mastering of their 3rd album. It will be titled 'Apocalypse' and will feature the best songs ever written by the band! The new material is going to be the more direct and heavier in the ARACHNES history and as always will be marked by the superb guitar works of Franco Caruso and the high-class melodic vocals of Enzo Caruso. Real harpsichord and eucharistic-choirs add to the new album something magic and an amazing 'epic' feeling.
